In her own words...  "Growing up, I never had a healthy relationship with food. I was conditioned to believe smaller is better, and my worth always hinged on how I looked and other external factors. Fast forward through an eating disorder in college, and I found myself over a year later in a state of “recovered enough,” where I felt like the disorder was gone but I had food on my mind all the time.

I wanted to feel freedom from food, and I wanted to be happier with myself and allow myself to learn who I was outside of what I presumed to be everyone’s expectations of me. Nichole’s story resonated with me, and her program offered to teach me how to live wildly alive and focus on mindset shifts rather than obsessing over food, so I signed up.

Through this program, I discovered that perfectionism, control, and limiting beliefs such as “I’ll be happy when _” and “I’m not good enough” were holding me back from living my best life and being happy in my body.

Tools such as forgiveness work, weekly brags, and the universe box—and, of course, all the dance breaks at the end of the classes!—helped me change my thinking and appreciate myself and my life.

I learned so many nuggets of wisdom that continue to help me on a daily basis. A few favorites include:

  • What you resist persists
  • Get comfortable being uncomfortable
  • Be willing to feel your feelings
  • It’s possible to get addicted to certain emotions

And my favorite: When in doubt, listen to your body. This shift, along with tools such as the forgiveness work and universe box, has had the biggest impact on me. I now trust myself so much more, and as a result I love and respect myself from the inside out.

On a phone call with Nichole, she told me she wished she could give me a hint of what it was like to be able to go through the day without constantly thinking about food. I’m thrilled to say that I now know how that feels, and I can live my life feeling free to explore my interests and to become more of who I am.
