As you know last Wednesday was International Women’s day. It had me thinking about what being a woman means to me.

Since I was young I wished I was a boy. There wasn’t much about being a girl that I enjoyed. I know, it’s sad I felt that way. But, over the last 10 years, I’ve been healing my relationship with myself and my body… And it has completely shifted the way I feel about being a woman.

I began to realize that being a woman is pretty freaking awesome. Then, when I became a mother, it solidified things for me. Now I feel beyond proud to call myself a woman. I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Strong women: May we be them. May we know them. May we raise them. I love all you amazing, Wildly Alive women out there (that’s you)!
