You’re seeing it everywhere. “Lose weight, get your perfect body and say goodbye to cellulite this year! Just follow my proven formula/juice cleanse/meal plan/30 day exercise program.”
Please, my dear, don’t fall for it again. There’s no secret formula, cleanse, meal plan or exercise program that all the skinny women know about, but you don’t.
Do those programs for the masses work? In one way yes, but very temporarily. And they also leave you in a chronic state of stress, obsession and fear.
What if this year, all you did was focus on LOVING yourself more?
❤️Loving yourself with foods that make you feel good (like, truly good and energized).
❤️Loving yourself by moving your body in ways you enjoy and make you smile.
❤️And loving yourself by talking to yourself like you’re best friends.
Simply ask yourself, “Would I talk to my best friend this way.” If not, forgive yourself for being so cruel and state one reason why you’re AWESOME (because you are!).
Then, just keep smothering yourself in love! No matter how many times you veer off course — just keep coming back to how much you rock. Not only will you lose weight in a way that feels GOOD, but you’ll actually be happy with yourself and your body.
Those other programs wont get you to that place. Even if they have hundreds of “Before-and-After” pictures of women smiling from ear-to-ear, don’t buy it.
I guarantee you, when they lay their head down at night they are scared. Scared to miss a workout, scared to eat the cake, scared 24/7 that they will gain the weight back if they aren’t perfect.
And when they look in the mirror all they see is the “work” that still needs to be done.
I know this to be true because THAT WAS ME. I speak from more experience than I’d like to admit.
To recap: Don’t fall for the quick fix — just focus on loving yourself, and trust the process.
